Italian media report that a 49-year-old woman communicated with a 68-year-old man through social networks, where they got to know each other, and their conversation later culminated in a meeting. The 49-year-old set a trap for the man by planning a dinner at his home, saying, "I will come to your house and cook a dish you have never tried before." However, the dinner was intended as a robbery.
According to Italian media, it was the 68-year-old man's son who realized something was wrong after finding his father confused in the apartment and the house in disarray. He alerted the police, who immediately launched an investigation.
Analyses also confirmed that a sedative drug causing loss of consciousness had been used in the food, specifically added to the pasta dish. After gaining control of the situation, the woman took money, valuables, documents, and around 10,000 euros in cash. Cameras also captured the moment the woman calmly left the apartment. Following checks at the 49-year-old woman's residence, the money, drugs, and the 68-year-old man's belongings were found.
