A former student opened fire at a school in southeastern Turkey, injuring at least 18 people, including students, teachers, and passersby. According to authorities, the perpetrator, aged around 18–19, entered the school premises armed with a hunting rifle and initially fired in the courtyard before entering the building and continuing the attack. The provincial governor, Hasan Sildak, told the media that the injured were immediately transported to hospitals in the Siverek district, with some still under medical care. After police intervened at the scene, the attacker ended his own life. Authorities are continuing investigations to fully clarify the circumstances and motives behind the incident.
