A serious incident occurred in Fier, where a 40-year-old man, Taulant Halka, is suspected of having committed suicide in his parents' apartment in the village of Portez. According to the police, Halka lived in Vlorë with his family, but had long-standing marital disagreements and was in the process of divorce. The couple had also undergone a court session to resolve the marriage, while the wife had also sought a protection order. A day earlier, he had left Vlorë and gone to Fier, to his parents. Last evening, in a severe psychological state, he is suspected of having used a hunting weapon, owned by his father, to carry out the fatal act. The victim left behind two young children. The police are continuing the investigation to clarify all the circumstances of the incident.
