New details have been revealed regarding the fraud involving three call centers in Tirana.
According to the dossier secured by Top Channel journalist Anila Hoxha, it has been uncovered how two citizens profited over 8 million dollars in cryptocurrency. The tip was provided by Austrian authorities regarding citizens Mateo Hoxha and Tedi Agastra, who profited 3,219,915 dollars and 4,811,154 dollars respectively in cryptocurrency.
Meanwhile, after tracing these cryptocurrencies, it was discovered how these two individuals managed to exchange them into various currencies. According to the dossier, Tedi Agastra was assisted by his father, Arbëror Agastra. The latter owned a currency exchange office called "Alba Forex," where the exchange of cryptocurrencies was documented.
From the Austrian authorities, through the Contact Officer on January 14, we were informed that the call center network under investigation was linked to two citizens who, according to them, were the ultimate beneficiaries of the cryptocurrencies from these call centers. According to this information, these were citizens Mateo Hoxha, who had profited a total of 3,219,915 USD, and citizen Tedi Agastra, who had profited 4,811,154 USD.
As part of the investigation into another proceeding conducted by this prosecution, specifically Criminal Proceeding 3167/2024, carried out through special investigative methods, it was possible to document and ultimately issue 19 arrest warrants by the Tirana First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction for the criminal offenses of "Unauthorized exercise of financial activities" and "Concealment of income," as provided by Articles 170/ç and 180.
It is worth noting that in the aforementioned proceeding, one of the arrested individuals was citizen Tedi Arbëror Agastra, born on June 19, 2003. This citizen, in collaboration with his father, who owns the "Alba Forex" currency exchange office located on "Abdyl Frashëri" Street, was documented in another proceeding for exchanging cryptocurrencies into fiat money.
His father, citizen Arbëror Agastra, is under the security measure of "House arrest." Regarding citizen Mateo Hoxha, it turns out that he has been recognized and employed since December 2024 at the "Alba Forex" currency exchange office.
On January 20, 2025, the contact officer informed via the relevant letter that new complaints from Austrian citizens have been filed in Austria. The victim was contacted by phone by supposed financial advisors and invited to make investments on the "imctrading" platform. The transactions were carried out on various dates.
After the victim's interest in the "OKX" system, on January 1, 2025, "OKX" returned detailed information about the transactions, and these transactions are directly linked to citizens Mateo Hoxha and Tedi Agastra. Both of these citizens received significant amounts in crypto addresses during 2024 and then transferred them to other crypto addresses.
