Democratic Party Chairman Sali Berisha spoke to the media today following yesterday's protest, which saw physical clashes between MPs, protesters, and police. After yesterday's events, several injured from both sides were admitted to the hospital. During the press conference, Berisha was also asked about some MPs from the Freedom Party who left immediately after his speech, just as clashes between protesters and police began.

"Regarding the MPs, they should stay until the end. I cannot say who left and who didn't, but they should stay. Yesterday, a wide group of MPs and leaders were selectively injured and harmed, against whom spray was used and they were beaten with batons and other tools," he said.

Berisha accused selective beatings against some MPs, adding that the Democratic Party will prepare a file with its accusations and present it to the prosecutor's office.

"Last night, as I emphasized, prohibited tools were used against protesters. First and foremost, 'golden spray' was used, which in some circumstances can have fatal consequences. Used on people, it can cause heart stoppage due to the intense pain it can inflict. On those with asthma, it can cause even more damage. Everything is documented.

Criminal police threw capsules at the feet of protesters, stun grenades, which also injured citizens. They brutally and intentionally attacked MPs, who were merely guarantors of the peaceful uprising. All these files will go to the prosecutor's office. Of course, the prosecutor's office is not expected to take any action, but the prepared files will be submitted with the belief that justice delayed is not justice denied," he said.
