A tragic event has shaken the city of Shkodër this Thursday, where a young woman lost her life just days after becoming a mother for the first time. Migena Salihi, a young woman full of dreams and energy for life, passed away due to health complications that arose immediately after the birth of her twin daughters. The news has deeply affected her family, friends, and the entire community where she lived and contributed. Just hours before her passing, a public appeal was made for urgent donations of O-negative blood, as her condition had deteriorated significantly. The call spread rapidly on social media, and dozens of citizens responded immediately, but despite the efforts of doctors and the solidarity of the people, she could not survive. Migena had completed her studies to become a Geography teacher at the "Luigj Gurakuqi" University in Shkodër and practiced her profession with dedication. Alongside her work as a teacher, she was also engaged in environmental issues as part of the "Eko Mendje" association, where she was known for her energy and commitment. Her personal life had just begun a new chapter, as only four years earlier she had become engaged to her partner, with whom she had built the dream of a family. Her loss has sparked numerous reactions. Activist Mirsad Basha remembered her with touching words on social media, describing her as one of the most energetic and exemplary young women of the city. Meanwhile, her friends and colleagues from the association have planted a tree in her memory, as a symbol of the life and contribution she left behind.
