The Diaspora Summit continues in Tirana on its second day of proceedings. The first discussion topic this Tuesday revolved around "representative democracy in the Albanian sphere from voting to institutional representation," where debates among guests and panelists were not lacking. Eva Baรงi, a lawyer who has lived in Bologna for 25 years, expressed that despite the desire of emigrants to return to their homeland, there are no real opportunities for inclusion. She addressed the socialist Taulant Balla, telling him, "You are the first one who is very far from reality." "I am Eva Baรงi. I come from Bologna. I left as a student, then I graduated and stayed there. The desire to return to Albania is very great, so we participate in Summits because we always expect an open window from the motherland, to return, to open the door for us. The script is written very beautifully, like that director who writes very beautifully, we hear narratives, but the main actors, which is the Diaspora, are missing. This is the Diaspora Summit. I think that besides the opening where the word should be given to the ministers, the prime minister, and the president, the main actors are us. I wanted to have a discussion and I was not given the right to speak. We must finish these beautiful films, where we only listen, but we, the main actors, do not have the right to speak. This is one thing. I have completed 3 faculties in Bologna, I have two specializations. Like me, many others here who come from Bologna, we have sought contacts many times, to enter and give our contribution. I work 14 hours in Italy, but I can work 20 hours for my country and be in my country, because I have invested in my preparation, not Albania. I have no place to speak, I want to express what I have, because otherwise we remain just numbers. I cannot wait for the ticket to come from there to be a number. You are far from reality, I speak about politicians. You are not close to us. We want to return to our country. These separate panels are not good. All of us, the main actors, should speak, bring the problems, not come here and listen to politicians. You have no idea what sacrifice means. What it means to finish school there, when we worked 14 hours and at night we went to libraries to read without any support or help. Open the doors because Albania does not lack brains. Mr. Taulant Balla, you are the first one who is very far from reality. You can pass the vote for another 4 years, but in history you must leave a name," she said.
