Photos have been released of Hysen and Kevin Neza, two young men arrested in connection with the kidnapping of a businessman in Tirana, while Jurgen Neza remains wanted as a suspected accomplice in the incident.
According to preliminary investigations, the three individuals are suspected of taking a 32-year-old businessman hostage near the area of the former Park in the capital, at the moment when he was leaving a cafรฉ where he had been having coffee.
Sources from the investigative group reveal that the perpetrators followed his movements and intercepted him in an alley, approaching him while masked. Two of them, identified as the Neza brothers, are suspected of wearing masks and sunglasses to conceal their identities, while the third person had a hat and sunglasses.
According to the charges, they presented themselves as agents of the National Investigation Bureau (BKH), using this deception to force the 32-year-old into a vehicle with the intent of kidnapping him.
Investigations indicate that the victim, involved in the construction sector and recently returned from abroad, may have been under surveillance for some time, with his movements monitored prior to the incident.
After the kidnapping, the perpetrators initially demanded 2 million euros, but later, following refusal and the use of physical violence, the amount was reduced to 1 million euros and then to 500,000 euros. He was held overnight in a warehouse in the Xhafzotaj area of Durrรซs, where he is suspected to have been assaulted.
The businessman was released in the early morning hours, on the condition that he provide the demanded sum. Immediately after his release, he reported to the police and filed a complaint, aiding in the identification of the perpetrators.
According to sources, identification was also achieved through security cameras along the route of movement, where the perpetrators appear masked and dressed in black. Investigators also suspect that they may have had prior information about the victim from other still unidentified individuals, who may have provided data on his financial status.
