Upon assuming the role of General Director of the Police, Skënder Hitaj held his first meeting with the head of the Special Prosecution Office, as part of the close cooperation between the two institutions. The State Police is one of the key institutions supporting the anti-corruption structure in implementing security measures, and also provides support to the National Investigation Bureau agents in conducting checks in residences, businesses, or other premises. In many cases, operations carried out by SPAK have been exposed, a concern that was raised earlier by the prosecution. This concern is expected to be one of the main points of focus in the discussion between the two leaders.
