Sali Berisha was once again stopped at the IBAR this Wednesday, regarding the report on the assessment of standards and the fight against corruption. The head of the PD says that Albania "has once again stalled in the IBAR process," adding that each week more countries oppose it. "I want to inform you that the IBAR assessment process remained in class even yesterday. So, the Council of Ambassadors that reviews this report, which concerns the implementation of foundations, fundamental things, the rule of law, and the fight against corruption, remains in class every week. Each week, more countries oppose it," said Berisha. Meanwhile, a day earlier, Prime Minister Edi Rama called these statements "empty words" that are completely untrue and said Albania is on schedule. Rama added that April is the month of intensive discussions. "There is talk up and down that negotiations have been halted; this is completely untrue. Negotiations are not strolls in the meadow but a process of continuous testing. This exam that is now taking place between us and the member countries is key, but there is no reason to talk about a blockade. We are on the set agenda; April is the month of intensive discussions after the questions from the member countries were gathered at the end of March. After the discussions, decision-making will follow," Rama expressed a day earlier.
