The Transparency Board, in its meeting on April 26, 2026, decided: ✅The retail price of the gasoil by-product, standard SSH EN 590, shall not exceed 206 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price shall not exceed 194 ALL/liter. ✅The retail price of the gasoline by-product, standard SSH EN, shall not exceed 181 ALL/liter, while the wholesale price shall not exceed 169 ALL/liter. 🗓The prices set by the Board will come into effect today, April 26, at 14:00, and will remain valid until the next board meeting, where changes in selling prices will be reflected. ⚠️We draw the attention of every wholesale and retail operator of petroleum by-products to the obligation to implement this decision. 🚫In case of violations identified by various operators, the suspension of activity will be imposed. 🛢The Ministry of Economy and Innovation, together with the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy, are committed to protecting the interests of Albanian consumers and maintaining the principles of fair competition in the market.
CLARIFICATION: Referring to Normative Act No. 1, dated April 3, 2026, "For an addition to Law No. 61/2012, 'On Excise Duties in the Republic of Albania,' as amended," which stipulates that if the retail price for gasoil exceeds 220 ALL/liter or for gasoline exceeds 200 ALL/liter, the 80% excise duty level applies. Based on the application of the methodology for calculating the ceiling retail prices, the prices are below the threshold of Normative Act No. 1, dated April 3, 2026, and consequently, the excise duty level will be applied in full, at 100%.
