The Food Control Authority has blocked several kilograms of hazelnut cocoa spread in Albania, Nudossi Haselnuss-Nougat-Crème, imported by "Lengo Group". This occurred following an alert issued by the RASFF System regarding salmonella content in this product, imported from Germany. A total of 18.3 kg have been blocked, destined for destruction. Following the notification of the informative notification category for follow-up, Albania was notified by the RASFF (Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed) System about the alert on the topic "Salmonella spp in hazelnut cocoa cream" originating from Germany, posing a serious risk to human health. Product name: Nudossi Haselnuss-Nougat-Crème (300 g) with 36% hazelnuts without palm oil. Product data: Batch: L 1251838: Expiry date 18.09.2026. Batch: L 1252635: Expiry date 26.08.2026. Name of the manufacturing entity: "Bartels-Langness Handelsgesellschaft mbH & Co". Name of the importing entity in Albania: "Lengo Group". The Food Control Authority conducted relevant verifications at the importing entity, where it was found that the imported quantity of this product – "Nudossi Nut Nugat Creme" hazelnut cocoa spread, expiry date 18.09.2026, Batch: L1251838, in the quantity of 30 units with a total amount of 9 kg. – "Nudossi Nut Nugat Creme" hazelnut cocoa spread, expiry date 26.08.2026, Batch: L 1252635, in the quantity of 60 units with a total amount of 18 kg. The total imported quantity for both batches is 27 kg. At the entity, the following quantity was blocked: – "Nudossi Nugat Creme" hazelnut cocoa spread, expiry date 18.09.2026, Batch: L1251838, 15 units or 4.5 kg. – "Nudossi Nugat Creme" hazelnut cocoa spread, expiry date 26.08.2026, Batch: L 1252635, 46 units or 13.8 kg. The total blocked quantity for both batches is 18.3 kg, destined for destruction. From the conducted verifications, it results that the quantity sold to the end consumer is 8.7 kg, for which the entity has issued a notice in the commercial environment. The Food Control Authority calls on consumers who may have this product in their possession to return it to the points of sale where they purchased it.
