Sali Berisha has declared that nine European Union member states are hindering Albania's progress towards integration into the union. Speaking from the podium in front of the Prime Ministry, Berisha criticized Prime Minister Edi Rama, saying he is not informing citizens about the reality of the integration process. "Integration with Edi Rama has been and remains an unattainable horizon," he declared. Berisha accused Rama of protecting personal and family interests, as well as corruption in governance. He added that the government's recent decisions show more of a Socialist Party gathering than communication with citizens. "Two weeks ago, four countries blocked the vote on the essential report for integration, while now there are nine countries. After another two weeks, there will be 15. The more Europe and the world get to know Edi Rama, the more they will despise him and rise against him," Berisha expressed.
