A 40-year-old man has been arrested by the Tirana police after driving under the influence of narcotics and alcohol and without a driver's license. Citizen Mishel Prela was handcuffed after being stopped in the "Wilson" square area while performing dangerous maneuvers with his car under the influence of drugs and alcohol. Police stated in a notice that after being asked to stop, he accelerated and consequently crashed into a police vehicle, endangering the officers, whom he violently resisted. The driver did not comply with the repeated orders of the police officers but instead accelerated, crashing into the police vehicle and endangering the lives of the officers. Police services immediately initiated pursuit and, in cooperation with the special force "Shqiponja" and the specialists of the Narcotics Investigation Section, within the framework of the coded operation "Effect," managed to apprehend him after several minutes at "Wilson" square and arrest the driver, citizen M. P., 40, resident of Tirana, who violently resisted the officers and during escort to the police premises. During the vehicle inspection, a quantity of suspected narcotic substance, cocaine, was found and seized as material evidence.
