The regulation "On the Implementation of the General Authorization Regime" has been introduced by the Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP), an important sub-legal act "On Electronic Communications in the Republic of Albania."
In a meeting with market operators regarding the new regulatory requirements, obligations, and procedures, AKEP Chairman Gentian Sala emphasized the importance of its implementation, considering it the first step toward a more consolidated and functional regulatory framework.
"I think there are many entities that do not deserve to be in the market. The way they provide the service, how they offer it to consumers, how they expand infrastructure. However, the regulation will be implemented in all its aspects, and we have defined the criteria," said Sala.
The Director of AKEP's Final Resource Administration, Enkeleda Domi, stated: "Innovations related to the electronic communication network, with access rights for all operators. Regarding the new structure and many other innovations that should be reflected in this regulatory act."
According to Chairman Sala, the new regulation will also provide a supportive step in more efficient inspections, strengthening competition and guaranteeing the provision of quality services. /Top Channel/
