Hamideh Soleimani Afshar, the daughter of Iranian General Qasem Soleimani, who was recently arrested in Los Angeles by ICE, had previously obtained a restraining order against her ex-partner, Zarea Mandani, following allegations of stalking and harassment. Soleimani Afshar was issued a five-year restraining order after she was suspected of harassing Mandani at his home and workplace during 2024.
Upon learning of her arrest by ICE, Mandani reacted strongly, stating: "Thank God. This is good. She is a stalker. She is a crazy woman. Thank God she was arrested and will be deported. She is not a normal person." He added that he had sued her twice, saying the situation had caused him a lot of stress and problems. "It gave me a lot of headaches. I politely asked her to leave me alone and blocked her, but she didnโt want to listen," he declared.
Mandani also revealed that they had met at a party. In court documents, he described her as his "ex-lover," but later, in an interview with the New York Post, he claimed their relationship had only been a friendship. In court, Mandani stated that she had emotionally abused him, harassed him, constantly called him, restricted his movements, interfered with his work, and even threatened to harm herself. Meanwhile, ICE arrested Hamideh Soleimani Afshar and her daughter, Sarinasadat Hosseiny, after their green cards (residency permits) were revoked due to alleged ties to Iran.
