Amir Abrashi has decided to extend his cooperation with Grasshopper. The parties have formalized the new contract for the team captain until 2027. And although Abrashi had to face a serious injury this season, the club continues to prefer him in the squad. The 36-year-old appears set to end his career in Switzerland, where he also started everything for himself. Abrashi was previously rumored for a move to the Albanian championship, but nothing materialized. "Grasshopper is my home, I built my career here and I owe a lot to this club. It means even more to me to continue being a part of it. Trust and appreciation are not something I take for granted, and I am very grateful for them. Everyone knows how much my heart beats for Grasshopper. I will continue to give everything for the club," Abrashi expressed regarding his renewal. The sports director, Alain Suter, shared his thoughts after the decision to extend the cooperation. "Amir perfectly embodies the values that Grasshopper represents. His mentality, experience, and presence have an extraordinary value for our team. He has experienced all the ups and downs with the club and has always shown his full commitment," expressed the Grasshopper sports director about Abrashi.
