328 reports of electoral violations and 26 criminal proceedings have been recorded as of 4:30 PM in Bulgaria. The figures were made public by the Acting Secretary General of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Georgi Kandev, during a media statement. One of the most serious cases was recorded in the Montana region, in the village of Septemvriytsi, where a member of the election commission cast 10 votes on behalf of other persons, in violation of the law. According to authorities, he has been detained for 24 hours, while two witnesses have been questioned and others are expected. The name of the political entity he is linked to is expected to be made public. Meanwhile, Kandev warned that as the process nears its close, vote buying is becoming more active. "We have prepared surprises for vote buyers," he said. The electoral process is ongoing, while authorities emphasize that checks have been increased in the final hours of voting.
