Chelsea is having a terrible season and will likely not be seen in the Champions League next year, but a consolation could be the trophy of the oldest competition in the world. Only one obstacle remains, but it is the toughest - Manchester City.

Recall, City managed to beat Southampton 2-1 yesterday after a comeback in the closing stages of the match, thus continuing their pursuit of another trophy. Today, they awaited their rival.

The Blues from London had plenty of problems today, but somehow managed to reach the final by overcoming Leeds.

The only goal of the match came in the 23rd minute following a Chelsea counterattack. Pedro Neto broke down the right side and delivered a nice cross, with Enzo Fernandez running onto the ball and heading it into the net of the Yorkshire side.

An interesting detail occurred in the 25th minute when Dominic Calvert-Lewin pulled Marc Cucurella by the hair, but did not receive a straight red card for it, even though it is strictly prescribed by football rules.

Leeds had the best chance at the end of the match. Calvert-Lewin took a fantastic shot, but Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez made the save of the season, instinctively deflecting the ball for a corner when everyone saw it going in.

Chelsea managed to hold on until the end and secure a place in the final of the oldest football competition in the world.

The grand FA Cup final between Chelsea and Manchester City is scheduled for Saturday, May 16 this year. It will be played at Wembley at 4 PM.
