Jakov Jozinović has become a true phenomenon on the domestic music scene, managing to fill concert halls and arenas by performing mostly covers of popular songs. This success quickly drew significant attention, and Vlado Georgiev also commented on his career, sharing several important pieces of advice for the young colleague during a guest appearance on a show.
"It's been a long time since someone very young, sweet, and interesting appeared. That generation needs some form of identification. They need a hero their age, and that's completely fine. The only thing I would really like is for him to start recording his own songs and building his own career as soon as possible, because being a cover artist constantly—that can't last long; it will get boring," Vlado said on the show.
Vlado Georgiev emphasized that it's important for every performer to develop and create their own music.
"I'll get bored of my own songs too; I have to record new ones, let alone when you only sing covers. So I suggest to him, and I would like him to record his own songs as soon as possible and push them. To reach a point where he doesn't sing other people's songs at all. That would be the way it should be," Vlado Georgiev pointed out.
While some dispute Jakov's success, Bosnian singer Džejla Ramović has shown support for her colleague Jakov Jozinović, who has faced criticism for filling venues by mostly performing other people's songs. In an interview with TV E, she previously said she doesn't understand why Jakov's success is being analyzed so much.
"I don't know why there's so much analysis of that boy. Why? Why is this being done, and why do we even care how he got to where he is? Does he make a large crowd happy? Yes. Does he fill many hearts? Yes. Let him be," Džejla Ramović stated, adding that Jakov should continue his path and enjoy his success.
