According to witnesses, everything happened in the morning when they noticed parts of the structure falling off. After that, the area was cordoned off, and then a large section of the roof structure collapsed. Fortunately, no one was in the area at the time, especially since the International Book Fair is being held not far from the site of the roof collapse, and a large number of visitors have been seen on the plateau of the Skenderija Center since early morning.
Incidentally, everything occurred near the plateau above Collegium Artisticum, specifically opposite the newly formed parking lot, which had also been a subject of debate due to claims that its opening was compromising the structural integrity of the gallery's roof. The entire area has been cordoned off, and members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Sarajevo Canton are present nearby, preventing public access until the damage is repaired.
