Drones struck residential areas and civilian infrastructure in a southern Ukrainian city, with regional authorities reporting five injured individuals hospitalized, mostly from shrapnel wounds. Odesa, a key Ukrainian Black Sea port, has frequently been a target of Russian attacks on civilian areas.

Meanwhile, Moscow-installed authorities in the occupied part of the Kherson region said a Ukrainian drone attack in the village of Dnipriany killed a man and a woman in their seventies.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia launched about 1,900 attack drones, nearly 1,400 guided aerial bombs, and around 60 missiles of various types over the past week. He noted that Ukraine currently intercepts over 90 percent of the drones Russia launches but still requires additional American Patriot missiles to intercept ballistic missiles.

Ukraine continues to strengthen military and industrial cooperation with partners. The Defense Ministry announced that Norway is the latest European country to enter a joint drone production agreement with Kyiv, while Zelensky also highlighted new financial and political moves by Western allies, including a โ‚ฌ90 billion European loan and the announcement of new sanctions against Moscow.

Ukrainian forces are simultaneously conducting long-range strikes on Russian oil and gas infrastructure, aiming to weaken Russia's economy. The Institute for the Study of War, a Washington-based research center, reported at least 10 such strikes in the past two weeks.
