Graham, known for his aggressive foreign policy stance, emphasized in his statement that Trump's decision was "very wise" and a good prelude to re-entering military action against Iran.

"In my opinion, the highest priority for the U.S. and the world is to establish firm control over the Strait of Hormuz, ensuring freedom of navigation in accordance with international law. When it comes to achieving this goal, the involvement of the U.S. military may be necessary in the short term. The risk associated with re-establishing freedom of navigation through the strait is more than justified," Graham wrote.

He concluded by congratulating Trump once again on a "job well done."

"Let us continue the blockade, open the strait, and resume military operations if necessary, ensuring that Iran can never return to its old ways," the Republican senator added.
