The first encore performance is scheduled for Tuesday, April 28 at 7:30 PM at the National Theatre of Tuzla, with free admission.

This is a powerful dance-documentary form that premiered more than seven years ago and has since remained one of the most significant regional works addressing the theme of children born as a result of wartime rape in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The play was created in co-production between the Association "Forgotten Children of War," The Alpha Group from Austria, and the National Theatre of Tuzla.

The new cast consists of young students from the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Tuzla, as well as professional actors from Sarajevo: Enes Kozličić, Alen Konjicija, Jana Miletić, Ema Kadirić, Ema Bratić, Emina Husarić, Amar Galešić, and Emin Šahdan.

This new premiere brings a fresh artistic expression while preserving the authenticity and emotional depth of the original. The play remains based on real testimonies, life stories, and inner struggles of those who have remained on the margins of society for decades.

Through a blend of movement, documentary material, and stage interpretation, the young performers take on the responsibility of speaking about a topic that has long been suppressed and silenced. "In the Name of the Father" represents the first artistic project in the region to systematically and courageously address the fate of the "forgotten children of war."

It opens space for dialogue on identity, belonging, stigma, and the right to truth. It speaks to questions that transcend individual destinies and delve deep into collective memory and social responsibility.

In a time when the past is often reinterpreted or forgotten, "In the Name of the Father" insists on confrontation—not as an act of accusation, but as a necessary step toward understanding and healing. The new generation of performers, through their engagement, further emphasizes the ongoing need for these stories to be heard loudly, clearly, and without reservation.

The play "In the Name of the Father" is a space for testimony, empathy, and confrontation, as well as an important reminder that there are topics that must not remain offstage.

This production is part of the project "Building Long-Term Peace in Bosnia and Herzegovina: Investing in the Future," implemented by BIRN BiH, Detektor.ba, the Srebrenica Memorial Center, and the Association Forgotten Children of War, with the support of the UN Secretary-General's Peacebuilding Fund (PBF) United Nations in BiH. The play was co-financed by the Austrian Cultural Forum Sarajevo.
