The play "Helver's Night" is one of the most significant productions of Bosnian-Herzegovinian theater, bearing the epithet of the most internationally awarded play from BH theaters. Directed by Dino Mustafić, it features outstanding performances by Mirjana Karanović and Ermin Bravo in a powerful, intimate story set in 1930s Germany, during the rise of fascism.

The play speaks not only about a specific historical moment but also about the mechanisms of all totalitarian systems, human fragility, fear, responsibility, and silence.

"Helver's Night" is an unforgettable theatrical experience. Our most awarded play will once again be performed before the audience. In addition to being a play that has toured the world, the drama by the most popular contemporary Polish playwright, director, and professor Ingmar Villqist (alias Jarosław Świerszcz), written in 1999, explores the peculiar relationship between a mother and her stepson (a young man with special needs), on an intertwined axis of mother-child, ward-guardian, brother-sister, man-woman, executioner-victim.

If any play from the former Yugoslavia can be called a theatrical phenomenon of the 21st century, it is "Helver's Night." It was "brought to life" in Sarajevo, at the Chamber Theater 55, twenty years ago, and since then has lived on stages across the Balkans, Asia, Africa, America... Wherever it has been performed, it has been met with praise and awards.

"A single play cannot change the world. However, it can certainly change the individual who watches it. Even if it is just one viewer, who will remain contemplative after watching the play, and who will have the inner strength to reexamine their internal attitudes. Perhaps the play will simply awaken someone to go out and protest loudly, to rebel in public space, to recognize and identify those who bring evil and stand up to them. In every sense, it is always better to speak, point a finger, and bravely oppose than to cower in silence and wait for your turn. Because then it is too late," says Dino Mustafić.

"We hereby invite our loyal audience to reserve tickets at the box office of the Chamber Theater 55, on weekdays from 1 PM to 8 PM and on Saturdays from 3 PM to 8 PM," the Chamber Theater 55 announces.
