On this occasion, fans of Željezničar, the popular Manijaci, displayed a banner of support for Rajković, reading: "Boris Rajković, hero of Sarajevo."
Meanwhile, the Association of War Veterans with Paraplegia of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina previously stated that Boris was severely wounded in 1994 on the Nišić Plateau, when, as a 22-year-old, he was on the front lines defending Bosnia and Herzegovina.
"Our comrade and member of our association, a 100% first-group war military invalid, Boris Rajković, has left this transient world. After being severely wounded in the defense of the homeland, Boris Rajković remained immobile and was bedridden, in a coma for 32 years. Boris Rajković was a true son of his homeland, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Bosnian son, we will remember your pledge to the homeland of Bosnia and Herzegovina with due respect. May the Bosnian earth rest lightly upon you. We extend our condolences to his family, relatives, friends, and comrades," the Association stated.
He was buried on April 23 at the Bare City Cemetery in Sarajevo.
