According to a non-governmental organization monitoring the condition of prisoners, the released individuals were transferred across the Kerem Shalom border crossing and then directed toward Al-Aqsa Hospital in Deir al-Balah, in the central Gaza Strip. During the transport, they were accompanied by representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross. As reported by media, their health has been severely compromised due to hunger and torture in Israeli prisons. No details about their medical condition were disclosed in the official statement, but witnesses said the detainees appeared extremely exhausted, and some showed visible signs of injuries. The release comes at a time when Israel, according to Palestinian data, still holds over 9,600 Palestinians in detention, including 90 women and 350 children. Human rights organizations and numerous testimonies have previously warned of poor conditions in detention facilities, including abuse and lack of medical care. Meanwhile, a ceasefire agreement in Gaza, supported by the United States, remains in effect, having come into force on October 10, but numerous Israeli attacks on Gaza are still being recorded.
