Orlando City footballer was not in contention for the last matches, and according to available information, he is currently in Europe undergoing treatments and additional examinations.
According to the American portal RotoWire, Pašalić could be sidelined for several weeks. Although initially described as a mild strain, the issue turned out to be more serious. After examinations in Zagreb, a muscle rupture was diagnosed, casting doubt even on his participation in the World Cup.
This injury is a significant blow for Orlando City, given that Pašalić has become one of the team's key players since arriving in MLS. He last played on April 13 against Columbus Crew, where he also scored a goal.
Since then, he has not been in the lineup, and the club has yet to announce a precise recovery timeline.
Meanwhile, Pašalić has also become important for the Croatian national team under Zlatko Dalić. He has regularly received call-ups for qualifiers and friendlies, including matches against Colombia and Brazil.
So far, he has made 13 appearances for the Croatian national team, scoring a goal against North Macedonia and providing assists against Colombia and Gibraltar.
Given that he is one of the few left-footed wingers in the rotation, his potential absence could pose a significant problem for Vatreni coach Dalić ahead of key matches.
