Dozens of people gathered this morning in front of the U.S. ambassador's residence in Israel, holding signs addressed to President Donald Trump that read: "Don't let yourself be fooled again," accusing Netanyahu of jeopardizing the strategic U.S.-Israel relationship. "He fooled you about Gaza and Iran," one sign read. Speaking at the protest, Eran Etzion, former deputy head of Israel's National Security Council, said: "We are here to interrupt your Saturday morning with an urgent message to President Trumpโ€”you're betting on the wrong horse. You're betting on a worn-out politician." Eleven-year-old Yaron said: "Netanyahu doesn't care about our future. He only cares about himself and staying in power. He has harmed our country." The protest took place outside the home of U.S. Ambassador to Israel Mike Huckabee, a staunch ally of Netanyahu. Although Israelis largely supported the joint U.S.-Israel war against Iran when it began, that support has slowly waned. A series of polls in mid-April showed that a majority of Israelis do not believe the U.S. and Israel have won the war against Iran. Anti-war protests, though very small at the start of the Iran war, have since grown.
